User Guide

From installation to daily operation — everything you need to get started with ASCAM ENTERPRISE.

Installation Process

Our RFID LAGI technicians handle the entire setup. You only need to provide packing tables and computers.

1

Site survey

Technician visits your facility to measure packing stations, plan camera positions, check network infrastructure and power. Duration: 1-2 hours.

2

Hardware installation

Mount cameras (ceiling/desk), run network/USB cables, install PoE switch (for IP cameras). Connect barcode scanner to PC.

3

ECAM software setup

Install ECAM on packing PCs. Activate license, configure cameras, set recording parameters (quality, codec, storage path).

4

Scanner configuration

Quick Config setup for scanner: prefix/suffix, auto-scan mode, ECAM integration. Ensure scanning triggers camera recording.

5

Staff training

Train packing staff: scan-pack-scan workflow. Train managers: video search, reports, permissions.

6

Testing & handover

Test with 10-20 real orders, verify complete video recording and accurate search. System handover with documentation.

Daily Packing Workflow

After setup, staff only need these simple steps:

Turn on computer

ECAM auto-starts with Windows. Cameras connect automatically.

Scan tracking barcode

Hold the shipping label barcode/QR in front of scanner. Camera starts recording.

Pack in front of camera

Place products, inspect, pack as normal. Camera captures everything.

Scan next order

Previous video auto-saves. Continue scanning next order, repeat the cycle.

Tips for Best Results

Position camera correctly

Overhead angle (45-60 degrees) provides the clearest view of products and packing process.

Ensure good lighting

Use white LED lights at packing tables. Poor lighting makes videos unusable as evidence.

Scan BEFORE packing

Always scan tracking barcode first, then start packing. Ensures camera records from start to finish.

Monitor storage weekly

Check free disk space weekly. Add storage when below 20% to prevent video loss.
